Delicious Westcountry butter in the shops!

More good news for all you dairy fans out there… although some of our cheesemakers have been applying their butter making skills for years, up until now Northwood Butter has only been available in a small number of delis and independent stores.

Located on the lush and temperate Somerset Levels, Northwood Farm is home to Rob Clapp. The artisan spirit must run in the family as Rob is the son of Bob Clapp and nephew of Simon Clapp, the makers of award-winning Brue Valley Cheddar.

Made using the same rich milk, Northwood Farm is a traditional golden butter with a subtle but lingering creamy flavour, delicious on its own but equally at home with a slice of Westcountry Farmhouse Cheddar in a chunky cheese sandwich, on warm toast with homemade marmalade or for cooking.

Westcountry Northwood Farm Butter is available in Waitrose stores priced £1.29 in salted 250g foil wrapped rolls and unsalted in 125g parchment wrapped pats priced 99p.
